Which area to book

  • The main street — Bars, hostels, board rental. Loud until two on weekends.
  • Sunzal side — Five minutes west. Quieter, better wave, better hotels.
  • River mouth — Where the seafood places are. Dead calm by nine at night.
  • The highway strip — Cheaper rooms, a short walk in. Fine if you have a car.

When to come

November to April for dry days and clean lines. May brings rain and better prices.
