Licence terms for AH El Salvador photography.
Licensing terms for photographs on AH El Salvador — rights-managed commercial licences, CC BY 4.0 free images, and how attribution works.
Updated
Photographs on this site fall into two categories, and each is labelled where it appears.
Rights-managed images
Most images here are licensed individually for commercial use. Buying a licence gets you:
- A high-resolution file, unwatermarked
- Use for the media, territory and term agreed
- A written licence naming the licensee
It does not transfer copyright, and it does not permit resale or redistribution of the file itself.
Rates and enquiries: licence a photo.
CC BY 4.0 images
A set of images is released under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 licence and marked CC BY 4.0. You may use these commercially, modify them and redistribute them, provided you give credit.
Required attribution:
Photo: AH El Salvador — ahelsalvador.com, CC BY 4.0
The credit must be visible near the image or in a standard credits location, and must link back where the medium allows. Attribution is the entire price.

Third-party images
Some photographs on this site are licensed from third parties and credited to their photographer. Those are not covered by either scheme above. The credit line names the photographer and source; licence them from the original rights-holder.
Editorial use by press
Press and media may reproduce up to three images per article with credit and a link for coverage that references this site. Ask first and we will send files.
Enforcement
We do check. Unattributed commercial use of CC BY images is a licence breach, and we invoice for it at standard commercial rates.
